THE
CONFRATERNITY OF THE
MOST HOLY ROSARY
Purpose
The
purpose of the Rosary Confraternity is to praise and honor the Blessed
Virgin Mary and to secure her patronage by the recitation of the Rosary
for the mutual spiritual benefit of all the members throughout the world.
Obligations
of Membership
A member is
to recite the fifteen (twenty) mysteries of the Rosary once a week.
Conditions
of this Membership
The conditions
of this obligation are:
*It does not bind under sin.
*Meditation on the mysteries of the Rosary is necessary.
*All members are to be included in each member’s Rosary.
(A general intention suffices. It does not need to be repeated each
time.)
*The fifteen (twenty) decades need not be said at one time
as long as they are said during the week.
Privileges/Benefits
of Membership
*Intrinsic
Benefits:
A plenary indulgence
is granted to the members, under the usual conditions, on:
1. The day
of enrollment.
2. The feast days of Christmas, Annunciation, Easter, Assumption, Our
Lady of the Rosary, Immaculate Conception and Presentation in the Temple.
A partial indulgence
is gained by all who use a blessed Rosary.
*Extrinsic
Benefits:
1. Participation
in all the good works and prayers of the members of the Confraternity.
2. Participation in all the good works of the Dominican Order.
